Zanskar also Zangskar is a region in Ladakh, north west India. It is famous for its stunning scenery and Tibetan-style Buddhist monasteries. It borders on Ladakh to which it is almost identical from an outsiders point of view, only being more remote and less densely populated, with less infrastructure.
